Arndale Dental occupies an upper floor of the Boots store inside the Manchester Arndale, which turns a check-up into something done between errands. It runs NHS and private care side by side, and the practice states it is taking on new NHS patients subject to contract capacity.

Treatments and services

NHS work covers examinations, radiographs, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, scale and polish, and laboratory work such as crowns, bridges and dentures, children included. Private treatment adds whitening, aesthetic bonding, porcelain veneers and full smile makeovers; teeth straightening with Invisalign, Spark and Smilers aligners; facial aesthetics; emergency appointments; and implantology from a single implant through implant-retained dentures to All-on-4, where a temporary fixed bridge is fitted once the digital scan is complete. Anti-snoring appliances and care for anxious patients are handled in-house.

Technology

An iTero scanner replaces impression trays and plaster: it builds a three-dimensional model from 360-degree images, sends it straight to Invisalign, and shows the projected result on screen while the scan runs. Cosmetic cases are planned with Digital Smile Design before anything is prepared.

The dentists

Dr Zeyad Al-Zubaidi, who holds an MSc in Conservative Dentistry and MFDS RCPSG, has placed implants since 2009 and also takes complex root canal, crown and bridge work. Dr Heba Ikram is an Invisalign provider working in paediatric dentistry and dental sleep medicine. Dr Ray Gharremain, a Valencia graduate, runs general care. Dr Jay Ferns works with clear aligners and facial aesthetics while reading for a postgraduate certificate in endodontics. Other practices refer patients here for endodontics, cosmetic cases and nervous-patient care.
